Our take on the PawsPik Cat Stainless Steel XL Litter Box & Metal Scooper

The PawsPik is a covered stainless steel litter box with a 20L litter capacity, a 12-inch hooded wall and rounded corners, sold with a metal scooper. Stainless steel does not absorb odors the way plastic does, and the non-stick surface makes scooping and rinsing easier. It weighs 9.26 lbs and suits large cats and multi-cat homes. At $33.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across three stores.

Questions and answers

Is the PawsPik litter box worth it over a plastic one?
If odor and staining are your main problem, yes. Stainless steel does not absorb smells, so the box stays fresher longer than plastic, which scratches and holds odor. You still scoop by hand.
Is it big enough for a large cat?
Yes. It holds 20L of litter with 12-inch walls under the cover, and PawsPik lists it for large cats. Measure your cat's length against the 603 mm by 400 mm footprint.
Does it come with a lid and scoop?
Yes. The covered hood and a metal scooper are included. No liners, filters or litter are in the box.
How often should I clean it?
Scoop daily and wash the pan weekly with mild soap. The non-stick steel wipes down quickly, but a covered box needs regular cleaning to keep odor down.
When is the best time to buy?
The best new price was $33.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, with three stores selling it new. Compare all three before buying, since prices move.
