Our take on the Ping G425 Hybrid

The Ping G425 hybrid is a men's adjustable hybrid built for high launch and forgiveness, with a maraging steel face and a stock graphite shaft. Its hosel adjusts loft by up to 1.5 degrees either way, and the stock Arccos smart grip feeds shot data to the Arccos app. The best new price is $239.99 at Mike's Golf Shop as of November 5, 2026, with only one store listing it new.

Pros
  • Maraging steel face produces strong ball speeds
  • High launch and consistent spin help hold greens
  • Adjustable hosel covers plus or minus 1.5 degrees of loft
  • Arccos smart grip tracks shots without extra sensors
  • Shorter stock shaft length aids control
Cons
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
  • Stock Arccos grip adds cost some players don't want
  • Adjustable hosel adds weight and complexity versus a glued head
  • Graphite stock shaft may not suit stronger swing speeds

Questions and answers

Is the Ping G425 hybrid worth it?
For players who want a forgiving, high-launching long-iron replacement, yes. At $239.99 at Mike's Golf Shop as of November 5, 2026, it sits in the normal range for a current adjustable hybrid.
How does the G425 compare to the G430 hybrid?
The G430 adds a carbon crown and a slightly hotter face for more ball speed. The G425 is the cheaper option and still offers the same adjustable hosel and high launch.
What lofts does the adjustable hosel cover?
The hosel adjusts loft by plus or minus 1.5 degrees from the stamped loft. That lets you open or close the face slightly to tune trajectory and shot shape.
What shaft and grip come stock?
It ships with a graphite shaft at 40 1/4 inches and a Tour Velvet cord grip with Arccos smart grip technology. Grip color options include white, aqua, gold and red.
Does it come with an Arccos sensor?
The stock grip has the Arccos sensor built in, so you pair it with the Arccos app rather than screwing on a separate tag. You still need an Arccos subscription for full tracking.
When is the best time to buy it?
Prices tend to dip when Ping releases a new hybrid line or at end-of-season sales. With only one new listing at $239.99 as of November 5, 2026, watch for markdowns rather than expecting a bidding war between stores.
Where is the Ping G425 Hybrid cheapest?
At Mike's Golf Shop, for $239.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Ping G425 Hybrid?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 559 ratings.
Where can I buy the Ping G425 Hybrid?
8 stores we checked sell it, including Mike's Golf Shop, eBay, Carls Golfland, GolfDiscount.com, Just Say Golf.
