Is the Schwinn 470 worth it?

At $1,039.20 at Alaska Fitness Equipment as of November 8, 2026, it is a reasonable mid-range pick if you want incline and a long stride. If you only need flat resistance, cheaper ellipticals cover that.

How is it different from the Schwinn 430?

The 470 adds a motorized 10-degree incline ramp and more resistance levels. The 430 has a fixed ramp, so the 470 gives more workout variety.

What stride length does it have?

A 20-inch stride, which fits most users of average to above-average height. Very tall users may prefer a 22-inch stride machine.

Yes. It is a powered elliptical, so the resistance and incline need a nearby outlet. It will not work unplugged.

What is included in the box?

The elliptical, assembly hardware and a power cord. You supply the tools and floor space of about 70 by 28 inches.

When is the price lowest?

Ellipticals like this tend to dip during Black Friday and New Year fitness sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.
