Is the Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 6 worth it?

It is a solid pick if you want Atmos height effects and a wireless sub without paying flagship prices. At $548.00 at Best Buy as of November 3, 2026, it competes well with other 3.1.2 bars. Skip it if you need HDMI passthrough for a console.

Does it come with a subwoofer?

Yes. The box includes the soundbar and a wireless subwoofer, which pairs automatically. The subwoofer measures 210 x 388 x 388 mm and weighs 7.7 kg, so plan floor or corner space for it.

How many HDMI ports does it have?

One. It is an eARC/ARC output only, with no HDMI inputs. You connect your TV to the bar and switch sources on the TV, not the bar.

Does it support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X?

Yes, both. The 3.1.2 layout uses up-firing drivers for height, and a dedicated center channel handles dialogue. It works best with a ceiling that reflects sound.

Can I stream music to it over Bluetooth?

Yes, over Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC and AAC codecs. It also has Wi-Fi, USB, optical and AUX inputs. There is no support for higher-quality Bluetooth codecs like LDAC or aptX.
