Our take on the Tanbaby 6 inch Cordless Weed Eater

The Tanbaby 6 inch Cordless Weed Eater is a small 21V battery string trimmer meant for light trimming around a yard, not for heavy brush. Its 6-inch cutting width is about half that of a typical full-size string trimmer, so expect slow going on anything but edges and small patches. It has a straight shaft and manual line feed, and the listing carries no NRTL safety certification. No current price was provided, so its latest best price cannot be compared with its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is the Tanbaby weed eater worth it?
Only for very light trimming. At 2.2 out of 5 from 12 ratings and a 6-inch cut, it is a weak choice if you need to clear a full lawn.
How wide does it cut?
6 inches. That is roughly half the width of a standard string trimmer, so expect to cover ground slowly.
How long does the battery last?
No runtime is published, and the 21V, 2A rating suggests a small pack. Plan on short sessions and frequent charging.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
The listing shows one piece and does not confirm a battery or charger in the box. Confirm contents with the seller before buying.
Is it safe to use?
It has no NRTL listing such as UL, so third-party electrical safety certification is not confirmed. Charge and use it with care.
When is it cheapest?
No price was provided, so no price history is available. Check the price comparison for the current store prices before buying.
What do buyers say about the Tanbaby 6 inch Cordless Weed Eater?
