Our take on the Wayfair Sleep 6" Medium Gel Memory Foam Mattress

A budget gel memory foam mattress from Wayfair's in-house Sleep line, sold in 6-inch and 10-inch profiles and in Twin, Twin XL and Queen. The 6-inch version is a thin, firm-feeling foam bed meant for bunks, guest rooms, kids' rooms and adjustable bases. At $119.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, so this is close to the cheapest it gets.

Questions and answers

Is the 6-inch version worth it over the 10-inch?
For a bunk, trundle or occasional guest bed, the 6-inch is enough and costs less. For nightly adult use, the 10-inch gives more foam and lasts longer.
Is it good for side sleepers?
Not ideal. Six inches of firm foam gives little give at the shoulder and hip, so side sleepers often feel pressure. Back and stomach sleepers and kids do better.
Does it work on an adjustable bed?
Yes. It is listed as compatible with adjustable bases, and the thin profile bends easily.
How firm is it?
Owners describe it as medium-firm to firm. It is denser and less plush than thicker gel memory foam mattresses.
What sizes does it come in?
Twin, Twin XL and Queen. There is no Full, King or California King.
When is it cheapest?
Wayfair discounts this line around major sales. At $119.99 as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the bottom of its recent range.
