The RSS20L is the left-handed version of Yamaha's Revstar Standard, a chambered solidbody electric guitar with two Alnico V humbuckers, a 24.75-inch scale and a 5-way pickup selector with a focus switch. It stands out for its chambered body, which trims weight and adds resonance, and for its dry-switch wiring that keeps the low end tight. At $802 at Guitar Brando as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with five stores listing it new.

Owners of the Revstar Standard line praise its build, playability and pickup versatility for the money. Left-handed players are glad the model exists with the same specs as the right-handed version. Some find the switching options confusing at first and wish for a true coil split.
