Our take on the Ariens Deluxe 24 254cc Two-Stage Snow Blower

The Ariens Deluxe 24 is a gas two-stage snow blower with a 24-inch clearing width, 21-inch intake height and a 254cc Ariens AX engine. It has an electric start, heated handgrips and a cast-iron gear case, which puts it above entry-level single-stage machines. The best new price is $1,275 at RDO Equipment Co. as of November 3, 2026, with four stores listing it new. That sits near the top of its recent range, so it is a fair but not standout price.

Questions and answers

Is the Ariens Deluxe 24 worth $1,275?
It is a solid two-stage machine with electric start and a durable gear case. At $1,275 it is near its recent high, so waiting for a sale or comparing the four listed stores is reasonable.
How does it compare to the Ariens Classic 24?
The Deluxe adds a larger 254cc engine, heated handgrips and a heavier-duty gear case over the Classic. The Classic costs less but has less power and fewer comfort features.
Does it have electric start?
Yes. It has a 120V electric start, so you plug it in and press a button instead of pulling a cord. It also has a manual recoil backup.
What size driveway is it suited for?
Its 24-inch width and 21-inch intake suit driveways up to about 12 car lengths in areas with regular heavy snow. Very long driveways may call for a wider 28- or 30-inch model.
What comes in the box?
The blower ships mostly assembled with a chute, auger and engine in place; the electric-start cord and manual are included. Check the listing for any dealer-added extras.
When is it cheapest?
Two-stage blowers usually drop in late summer and early fall before snow season, and again after January. Prices at the four listed stores vary, so compare them before buying.
Where is the Ariens Deluxe 24 254cc Two-Stage Snow Blower cheapest?
At RDO Equipment Co., for $1,275.00, as of our latest check.
