Our take on the BalanceFrom Fitness 5 8 and 12 Pound Neoprene Coated Dumbbell Set with Stand

A 50 lb set of neoprene-coated hex dumbbells in 5, 8 and 12 lb pairs, with a stand to keep them off the floor. The hex heads stop rolling and the contoured handles are sized for smaller hands. At $94.99 at Best Buy as of November 5, 2026, it sits near the low end of its recent range, which is a good price for a set that includes a rack.

Pros
  • Three weight pairs cover warm-ups through moderate pressing and rows
  • Neoprene coating is gentle on floors and quiet to set down
  • Hex heads stay put between sets
  • Stand keeps the set organized and off the floor
  • Contoured 1.25 in handles suit smaller hands
Cons
  • Tops out at 12 lb per hand, so it won't serve heavy lifting
  • 5 lb jumps between sizes are coarse for progressive work
  • Neoprene can scuff and pick up chalk or grit over time
  • Stand is light and must be loaded evenly

How heavy is each dumbbell?
You get pairs of 5, 8 and 12 lb dumbbells, 50 lb total. Each hand tops out at 12 lb.
