Pros

  • Rubber coating protects floors and cuts clatter

  • Cast iron heads hold up to drops and daily use
  • Pairs sold separately, so you can build the set gradually

Questions and answers

Is the 280-lb set worth it over buying pairs separately?
The set bundles seven pairs and a 3-row rack, which saves shopping around but ties up floor space. If you only need a few weights, buying pairs one at a time costs less up front.
What weights are included in the set?
Seven pairs from 5 lb to 35 lb in 5-lb increments, plus a 3-row steel rack.
Does the rubber coating damage floors?
The rubber coating cushions the heads and is gentler on floors than bare iron. On delicate hardwood, use a mat under the rack.
How is the knurling?
It is medium depth, comfortable for most reps but lighter than aggressive gym knurling. Lifters with sweaty hands may want chalk.
When is the price lowest?
The lowest new price seen is $30.97 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, for a single pair. Set prices vary by store and weight range.
Where is the CAP Rubber Coated Hex Dumbbell cheapest?
