Our take on the BalanceFrom Fitness Signature Alloy Steel Rubber Encased Hex Dumbbell Set

BalanceFrom's Signature dumbbell set is a rubber-encased hex set built on alloy steel heads with metal plates. The rubber coating protects floors and cuts clanking, and the flat hex faces keep the weights from rolling between sets. The only new price found is $40.95 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Questions and answers

Is $40.95 a good price for this set?
It is the only new price found, $40.95 at eBay as of November 5, 2026. With one seller there is no recent range to judge it against, so compare per-pound cost with other hex sets before buying.
Will the rubber coating damage my floors?
No. The rubber encasing is there to protect floors and reduce noise, which is the main reason buyers pick rubber hex dumbbells over bare metal.
Do the hex heads roll?
No. The flat hex faces keep the dumbbells from rolling when set down, which makes them easier to use for floor work and storage.
What weights are in the set?
The listing does not break out individual weights. Check the seller's page for the exact poundage and pair count before ordering.
How do these compare with round rubber dumbbells?
Hex heads stay put on the floor and are easier to stack. Round heads are less bulky and can be more comfortable for some lifts.
Is there a smell when they arrive?
Some owners report a rubber odor out of the box. It usually fades after a few days of airing out.
