Our take on the Balsam Hill BH Fraser Fir Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Tree

The Balsam Hill BH Fraser Fir is a pre-lit artificial Christmas tree built to mimic a real Fraser fir, with dense, dark green foliage and warm-white lights already strung. It is one of Balsam Hill's premium lines, sold in several heights and light types, and is rated for outdoor use. At $1,499 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the top of its own price range, so this is a full-price buy rather than a markdown.

Questions and answers

Is the BH Fraser Fir worth $1,499?
It is worth it if you want a realistic, pre-lit tree you will reuse for many years and can handle the weight. If you want a budget tree or only need it for a season or two, cheaper options make more sense.
How does it compare with Balsam Hill's other trees?
The Fraser Fir is one of Balsam Hill's most realistic lines, with denser, darker foliage than the company's budget trees. Its premium price reflects that realism and the pre-lit setup.
Can it really be used outdoors?
Yes, it is rated for outdoor use, but keep the lights and plugs protected from standing water. Many owners use it on covered porches rather than fully exposed spots.
What comes in the box?
You get the tree in labeled sections, a stand and the pre-strung lights, plus storage bags on most sizes. Check the listing for the exact height and light count you are buying.
When is it cheapest?
Balsam Hill trees usually see their deepest discounts around Black Friday and in early December. At $1,499 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it is at full price, so waiting for a seasonal sale can save money.
Where is the Balsam Hill BH Fraser Fir Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Tree cheapest?
At Amazon, for $1,499.00, as of our latest check.
