Is the Bauer Supreme M5 Pro good for beginners?

No. It is an elite-level skate with a very stiff carbon boot. Beginners are better off with a softer, cheaper model.

What do Fit 1, Fit 2 and Fit 3 mean?

They are Bauer's three width profiles. Fit 1 is the narrowest, Fit 3 the widest; try your usual size in the fit that matches your foot volume.

Can the M5 Pro be baked?

Yes. The boot is thermoformable, so a shop can bake it to mold the Carbon Curv Composite quarter and LOCK-FIT liner to your foot.

How does it compare to the Supreme M5?

The M5 Pro steps up to a Carbon Curv Composite quarter and higher-grade padding and tongue, giving a stiffer, more protective boot than the M5.

What sizes are available?

Sizes 7 to 12 in full and half sizes, in all three fits.

When is the price lowest?

New-season skates usually discount after the following model launches, often in late summer and fall. The current best new price is $324.99 at Jerry's Hockey as of November 7, 2026.
