Is the GenuPoint worth it over a cheap knee strap?

It costs more, but the adjustable hook-and-loop closure lets you set pressure and fit, which basic straps often cannot. Runners who wear a strap often tend to get more out of it.

What size should I order?

This listing is size 2 in Titan (beige). Check Bauerfeind's size chart against your knee circumference before ordering, since the strap must fit snugly to work.

Place the strap just below the kneecap over the patellar tendon and tighten the hook-and-loop closure until you feel firm pressure without cutting off circulation.

Can I wear it during runs and walks?

Yes. It is made for running and walking and sits low enough to wear under most pants.

Our take on the Bauerfeind GenuPoint

The Bauerfeind GenuPoint is a knee strap that presses on the patellar tendon just below the kneecap to help stabilize the knee during running and walking. It uses a hook-and-loop closure so you can set the pressure and fit yourself, and it is more adjustable and comfortable than a plain elastic strap. The best new price is $44.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, and 5 stores carry it new.
