Our take on the Callaway Apex MB 24 Iron Set

The Apex MB 24 is Callaway's blade iron set for better players, built from a single piece of forged carbon steel with a compact, thin topline head. It is a muscle-back design aimed at shot-shapers who want feedback and workability rather than forgiveness. The set runs from long irons into wedges, and the listed configuration is right-handed, stiff steel shaft. Pricing varies by store and set makeup, so compare the exact set composition before buying.

  • Set includes scoring clubs through wedge lofts
Cons

Questions and answers

Is the Apex MB 24 worth it over the Apex TCB or Apex Pro?
If you strike the center consistently and want maximum workability, yes. If you want more forgiveness on mishits, the Apex Pro or TCB is the better fit.
Is this set good for a mid-handicap golfer?
Usually not. The muscle-back blade offers minimal forgiveness, so most mid-handicap players lose distance and accuracy on off-center strikes.
What shaft and flex does this set come with?
The listed configuration is a stiff steel shaft, right-handed. Check the specific listing for the exact shaft model and set makeup before ordering.
How many clubs are in the set?
Set makeup varies by listing, so confirm the iron and wedge lofts included. The set spans long irons through wedges.
When is the best time to buy?
New iron releases and end-of-season sales tend to bring the deepest discounts. Compare store prices and price history before buying.
