Is the Nord Stage 3 worth it over the Stage 2?

The Stage 3 adds a third synth engine with wavetables and samples, more piano memory and a larger OLED display. If you use synth sounds heavily, the upgrade is meaningful; if you mainly play piano and organ, a used Stage 2 can save money.

How heavy is the 88-key version?

The 88-key Stage 3 weighs 53.25 lbs and measures 60 by 19 by 10 inches. The 76- and 73-key versions are lighter and easier to carry to gigs.

Does it have weighted keys?

The 88-key model uses a weighted hammer-action keybed. The 76- and 73-key versions use a lighter waterfall-style action suited to organ playing.

Can I split the keyboard into multiple zones?

Yes. It supports three split zones, so you can assign different sounds across the keyboard. Four assignable 1/4-inch outputs let you route sections to separate amps or a mixer.

The keyboard ships with a power cable and a user manual. A sustain pedal and stand are not included, so budget for those separately.
