Is the Nord Stage 3 Compact worth it over the Stage 3 88?

The Compact is lighter and has waterfall keys for organ playing; the 88 has a fully weighted hammer action for piano. Choose the Compact if organ and synth work matter and you move the board often.

Does it have built-in speakers?

No. You need an amp, PA or headphones through the stereo headphone jack.

What pedals come in the box?

The Nord Triple Pedal is included, giving sustain with half-pedaling and the soft and sostenuto functions.

Can I connect it to a computer or tablet?

Yes. It has USB, MIDI in and out, and Bluetooth for wireless editing and control.

How many keys and what action does it have?

73 semi-weighted keys with rounded waterfall tips and aftertouch.

Stage pianos like this rarely discount deeply; watch for bundle deals and end-of-model clearance when a successor is announced.

Our take on the Nord Stage 3 Compact

The Nord Stage 3 Compact is a 73-key semi-weighted stage piano with rounded waterfall keys, aftertouch and the Nord Triple Pedal included. It combines Nord's piano, organ and synth engines with 120-voice polyphony, four assignable line outputs and MIDI in/out, and it has no built-in speakers. It is a gigging instrument built for players who want weighted-feel piano and organ work in one board without the weight of a hammer-action model.
