Does this strap help patellar tendonitis?

It is designed for it. The pad presses on the patellar tendon just below the kneecap, which many athletes find reduces pain during running and jumping. It supports the tendon; it does not heal it.

How do I choose a size?

DonJoy offers X-Small/Small, M/L and X-Large. Measure the circumference just below your kneecap and pick the size whose range your measurement falls inside, not at the edge.

Can I wear it on either knee?

Yes. The strap is unisex and fits either knee; you set the pad position and strap tension yourself.

Is it FSA or HSA eligible?

Yes, it is listed as FSA/HSA eligible, so you may be able to pay with those funds. Check your plan's rules before buying.

How should I clean it?

Hand wash only. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, since heat and agitation can damage the foam pad and Velcro.

Is $15.95 a good price?

It is the lowest of the three new prices we track as of November 7, 2026, so it is a good price against the current market. Knee straps of this type commonly sell in the mid-teens to low twenties.
