Our take on the Little Giant Velocity 22-Ft Multi-Position Aluminum Ladder with Wheels

The Little Giant Velocity is a multi-position aluminum ladder that converts between A-frame, extension, staircase and 90-degree scaffold positions. The 22-ft model reaches roughly 11 ft as an A-frame and about 19 ft fully extended, and it carries a 300 lb rating. Wheels on the base let you tip and roll it instead of carrying it. At $333.82 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forHomeowners who need one ladder for gutters, ceilings and stairsPainters and remodelers working around stairwells and uneven floorsOwners with limited storage who want one ladder instead of severalTwo-person jobs up to 300 lb
Pros
  • Four positions cover A-frame, extension, stair and scaffold work
  • 300 lb load rating is higher than most consumer step ladders
  • Wheels make the heavy frame easier to move around a jobsite
  • Aluminum frame keeps weight down for its size
  • Reaches about 19 ft extended, enough for most two-story rooflines
Cons
  • Long, heavy frame is awkward to set up alone at full height
  • Costs far more than a single-purpose extension ladder
  • Hinges and pins need checking and occasional lubrication
  • 22-ft model is overkill for one-story work

Questions and answers

Is the 22-ft Velocity worth it over a plain extension ladder?
If you work on stairs, vaulted ceilings or need scaffold mode, yes. If you only clean gutters on a one-story house, a lighter and cheaper extension ladder does the job.
How tall does it reach?
About 11 ft as an A-frame and roughly 19 ft fully extended. That covers most two-story rooflines and high ceilings.
Is it hard to set up alone?
The frame is heavy and long, so raising it to full extension solo takes care. Many owners treat it as a two-person job at maximum height.
What positions does it convert to?
A-frame stepladder, extension ladder, staircase ladder and a 90-degree scaffold or trestle position.
Does it come with wheels?
Yes, this version has wheels on the base so you can tip it and roll it rather than carry it.
When is the price lowest?
Multi-position ladders tend to dip during spring and holiday sales. At $333.82 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new listing, so watch for a second seller before assuming it is a deal.
