Is the original Switch still worth buying in 2026?

Yes if you want the Mario games and local multiplayer at the lowest price. The Switch 2 costs more and runs newer titles the original cannot.

Does this bundle include games?

Yes. Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are included, both as digital or bundled copies depending on the package.

How long does the battery last?

Nintendo rates it at about 4.5 to 9 hours depending on the game. Demanding titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe land near the low end.

Can I play it on a TV?

Yes. Dock the console and connect by HDMI for up to 1080p at 60 fps. It does not output 4K.

Can I add more storage?

Yes. A microSD card in the console's slot expands the 32GB internal memory, and digital games install there.

Holiday sales and console bundles tend to drop the price most. The $222.20 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026 is already near the low end of recent listings.
