Is the Real Flame Silverton worth it?

If you want a fireplace look without venting or remodeling, yes. It heats a single room and looks like a real mantel piece. If you need serious heating, a dedicated space heater costs less and puts out more.

How much heat does it actually produce?

It puts out up to 5,100 BTUs with fan-forced heating, enough to take the chill off a bedroom or living room. It is supplemental heat, not a furnace replacement.

Can I use the flames without the heater?

Yes. The flame effect runs independently of the heat, so you can keep the ambiance on in warm months without adding heat.

Does it need venting or a special outlet?

No venting is required. It runs on standard household electric power and plugs in like an appliance.

What is included in the box?

The fireplace, mantel, glass, remote control, and the hardware needed for assembly are included. Assembly is required.

When is the best time to buy it?

Fireplaces tend to discount in spring and early summer, outside heating season. The current $507.60 at Target as of November 4, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range.
