The Touchstone Chesmont is a 50-inch wall-mounted electric fireplace that installs flush into a wall with zero clearance and a 3-inch-deep firebox. It puts out 5,000 BTU of fan-forced heat across two settings (750W and 1500W), enough for roughly 400 square feet, and runs flame-only if you just want the look. A thermostat, 8-hour timer, remote and cool-to-touch tempered glass round out the package. At $999 at Best Buy as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, so it is not a bargain moment.

Lowest price we've seen: $649.00 on Nov 4 at Elegant Home USA. Tracked across 5 stores since Nov 4.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 111 ratings, owners generally like the clean built-in look and the flame effect, and many use it heat-off most of the year. Complaints center on the flame looking artificial up close and the install being more work than expected.
