Questions and answers

Is the heater worth it over the standard Underscore tub?
The heated back surface keeps the tub wall warm against your back, which matters most on long soaks. If you rarely soak past 20 minutes, the plain version saves money and wiring.
What are the cutout dimensions for a drop-in install?
The tub is 72 by 36 inches overall, and the deck cutout is smaller than that so the rim rests on the surround. Check the spec sheet for the exact rough-in opening before framing.
Does it fit a standard alcove?
It needs a rough opening at least 72 inches long and 36 inches wide, plus deck space for the drop-in rim. Measure the framed alcove before ordering.
How much water does it hold?
Capacity is 80 gallons or more to the overflow. Confirm your water heater can refill that volume, especially with the heater running.
What's in the box?
The bathtub only. The drain, faucet and trim are sold separately, and the heater needs a dedicated electrical connection.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price was $1,844.96 at Wayfair as of November 6, 2026. Four stores list it new, so compare them before buying.
