Our take on the Yamaha SBP2F50

The Yamaha SBP2F50 is a five-piece all-birch acoustic drum kit from Yamaha's Stage Custom Birch line: bass drum, snare, two rack toms and a floor tom. Birch shells give it a punchy, focused tone with a strong attack, and the hardware uses Yamaha's proven ball-clamp tom mounts. It is an analogue kit with no pre-programmed sounds or effects, so it is aimed at players who want a real acoustic set. The best new price is $929.99 at Musician's Friend as of November 7, 2026, with two stores listing it new.
