The Yamaha Rydeen is a five-piece acoustic drum kit aimed at beginners and intermediate players. It pairs poplar shells with Yamaha's own hardware, including ball-mount tom holders, low-mass lugs and a P3-style bass drum head for a tight, punchy kick. The 20-inch bass drum version is the more compact of the Rydeen line, which suits smaller rooms and younger players. At $479.99 at Musician's Friend as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the three stores that carry it new.

Owners of the Rydeen line generally treat it as a solid first acoustic kit, with the hardware and build quality standing out for the money. Complaints tend to center on the stock heads and the need to buy cymbals and stands separately.
