About the Yamaha TMP8F3LCS Drum Set

The Yamaha Tour Custom maple 3-piece shell pack delivers a bright, articulate tone perfect for any genre. The shells are crafted using Yamaha's proprietary Air Seal System to maximize resonance and projection. Outfitted with Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. suspension mounts and 2.3 mm inverse DynaHoops, this shell pack gives you complete control over your sound. All-Maple Shells for a Balanced Tone The Tour Custom shell pack's 100% maple shells produce a balanced tone with clear, focused pitch and just the right amount of sustain. The six-ply, 5.6mm thick shells are cut with a 45-degree bearing edge for quick response and tonal depth. Finished in a satin lacquer, the maple shells sing with richness and warmth. This winning combination of premium maple and Yamaha's shell-crafting expertise gives the Tour Custom a sound suited for any style. Y.E.S.S. Mounts and Inverse DynaHoops for Total Tonal Control Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. suspension mounts connect each drum while allowing the shells to vibrate freely, resulting in maximum resonance and projection. The mounts provide stability without hindering tone. Yamaha's 2.3 mm inverse DynaHoops focus the maple shells' sound for fundamental pitch clarity with controlled overtones. Together, the Y.E.S.S. mounts and DynaHoops give you complete command over your Tour Custom's voice. Absolute Lugs and Satin Lacquer Finish for Beauty and Performance Yamaha's sophisticated Absolute lugs securely hold the shells together while enhancing the Tour Custom's visual appeal. The lugs feature a streamlined design that does not impede shell resonance. The shells themselves are finished in a satin lacquer that protects the wood while optimizing its acoustic properties. The Tour Custom shell pack offers both beauty and performance. Versatile 3-Piece Shell Pack Configuration The Yamaha Tour Custom shell pack includes an 18" bass drum, 12" rack tom and 14" floor tom. This classic 3-piece configuration suits any musical style and provides a focused yet versatile tonal palette. The toms feature Yamaha's ball-socket tom holder for precise positioning, and the bass drum includes tom arms and a mount for the floor tom. The Tour Custom gives you a professional-quality kit ready to handle any gig.
