Our take on the BalanceFrom Signature Alloy Steel Rubber Encased Hex Dumbbell Set

The BalanceFrom Signature set is a rubber-encased hex dumbbell set with alloy steel heads and rubber-coated ends. The hex shape keeps the weights from rolling and the rubber coating protects floors and cuts clanking. The best new price is $36.95 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, the only new listing tracked, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

  • Works for presses, rows, curls and carries
Cons
  • Single new listing at $36.95, so price competition is thin

Questions and answers

Is $36.95 a good price for this set?
It is the only new price tracked, $36.95 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare the per-pound cost with other hex sets before buying.
Will the rubber coating damage my floors?
Rubber-encased heads are made to protect floors and reduce noise when set down. On delicate hardwood, use a mat anyway.
Why hex instead of round dumbbells?
Hex heads do not roll when you set them down, which helps in small spaces and during floor work. Round heads can feel smoother on some lifts.
Does the rubber smell out of the box?
New rubber-coated weights often have a rubber odor that fades over days. Air them out in a garage or well-ventilated room first.
What weights are included?
The listing does not spell out the weight range or increments. Check the set size before ordering so it matches your lifts.
Where is the BalanceFrom Signature Alloy Steel Rubber Encased Hex Dumbbell Set cheapest?
