Questions and answers

Is the Macnaught reel worth $289?
It costs more than most plastic reels, but the 10-year reel warranty and serviceable metal build justify it for heavy use. At $289.00 at Macnaught USA as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price tracked.
How does it compare with a cheaper box-store reel?
Box-store reels typically carry 1-2 year warranties and plastic cases. This one has a galvanized bracket, a hybrid polymer hose and a 10-year reel warranty.
What is in the box?
The reel, a 60 ft primary hose, a 6.5 ft feeder hose and the wall mount bracket. Mounting screws are not included, so buy hardware for your wall type.
Will it fit a standard US spigot and nozzle?
Yes. The inlet and outlet use standard 3/4-inch US garden hose fittings, so standard nozzles and spigots connect directly.
Does the 1/2-inch hose reduce water pressure?
Flow is lower than a 5/8-inch hose over 60 ft, but the reel is rated to 150 psi working pressure. It suits watering and garden use rather than high-flow washing.
When is it cheapest?
Only one new listing is tracked, at $289.00 as of November 4, 2026. Watch for seasonal garden promotions rather than expecting frequent discounts.
Where is the Macnaught 60-Foot Retractable Garden Hose Reel cheapest?
