Our take on the Glarry Full Size 4 String Electric Bass Guitar Rosewood Basswood Fire Style Exquisite Burning Bass

The Glarry Fire Style is a full-size 4-string electric bass with a solid basswood body, a rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets and a flame-burst finish. It is a budget instrument aimed at beginners and players who want a second bass for practice. The best new price is $92.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no price history to compare against. At that price it sits at the low end of full-size basses, where most rivals cost $150 or more.

Best forFirst-time bass players on a tight budgetPractice and bedroom playersBuyers who want a full-size bass for under $100A backup bass for gigs or jams
Pros
  • Full 34-inch scale and 4 strings, so it plays like a standard bass
  • Solid basswood body keeps weight down for long practice sessions
  • 20 frets and a rosewood fingerboard at a very low price
  • Flame-style finish looks more expensive than it costs
  • Right-handed layout with standard parts that are easy to replace
Cons
  • Basswood is soft and dents more easily than alder or ash
  • Budget pickups and hardware are the first things most owners upgrade
  • Setup out of the box is often rough, so a pro setup may be needed
  • Only one store lists it new, so price comparison is limited
  • No active electronics or tone-shaping beyond the basic controls

Questions and answers

Is the Glarry Fire Style bass worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if your budget is under $100. It is a real full-size bass, but plan on spending $40 to $60 on a setup so it plays in tune and the action is comfortable.
How does it compare with a Squier or Ibanez starter bass?
Those cost roughly $200 or more but come with better pickups, hardware and factory setup. The Glarry saves you money up front but may cost more in upgrades later.
What is the scale length and how many frets does it have?
It is a full-size bass with a 34-inch scale, 20 frets and 4 strings. That matches the standard layout most method books and lessons use.
What comes in the box?
The bass is sold as the instrument itself. A gig bag, strap, cable and tuner are usually sold separately, so budget for those if you are starting out.
When is the best time to buy it?
Only one store lists it new at $92.99 as of November 4, 2026, so there is little room to shop around. Watch for holiday sales at that store rather than expecting a price war.
Where is the Glarry Full Size 4 String Electric Bass Guitar Rosewood Basswood Fire Style Exquisite Burning Bass cheapest?
At Target, for $92.99, as of our latest check.
