Is the Meowant litter box worth it?

It is worth it if you want automatic scooping without paying premium prices. The 4.9 out of 5 rating from 105 ratings suggests most owners are satisfied. Budget for liners and accept that the open top will not hide odor like a lidded box.

How often do I need to change the waste bin?

The 6 L bin holds several days of clumps for one cat; multi-cat homes will need to empty it more often. The app alerts you when the bin is full. Use the specified liners to keep the bin clean.

Will it fit a large cat?

The 56.7 L interior and 4.8-inch entry suit most cats, including large ones. Very large cats may find the opening tight, so measure your cat against the entry before buying.

Does it work without the app?

Yes. The box self-cleans on its own schedule and the safety sensors work without Wi-Fi. The app adds health monitoring and cycle controls.

Meowant rates it at 40 dB or less, about the level of a quiet conversation. Most owners say it does not disturb sleep.

Our take on the Meowant Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box

The Meowant is a covered automatic litter box that rakes and deposits waste into a 6 L lined bin, so you scoop less and change a bag instead. It runs at 40 dB or less, has a 4.8-inch low entry for older or small cats, and includes anti-pinch and safety-stop protection. The drum is large at 56.7 L but the box itself is about 21 inches on each side and weighs 28.7 lbs, so it needs floor space and a nearby outlet. It is a mid-priced self-cleaning box rather than a premium enclosed model.
