Our take on the Touchstone Fireplug Pro 33 Inch Smart Electric Fireplace with White Encase Surround Mantel

The Touchstone Fireplug Pro is a 33-inch wall-mounted electric fireplace with a white encase surround mantel, a thermostat, and a 1,500W heater. It gives you flame effects with or without heat, so it works as a focal point year-round. The best new price is $1,799 at Touchstone Home Products as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no discount to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Touchstone Fireplug Pro worth $1,799?
That depends on whether you want the white mantel surround included. The fireplace insert alone costs far less, so most of the price is the finished cabinetry look. At one store and one price, there is no deal to wait for.
Does it need a vent or gas line?
No. It is fully electric and plugs into a standard outlet, so it can go on any wall with power nearby. The 1,500W heater draws about 12.5 amps, so a dedicated circuit is safer than sharing one.
Can I run the flames without heat?
Yes. The flame effect works on its own, which is how most owners use it in summer. The heater and thermostat are separate settings.
How much space will 1,500W heat?
Roughly 400 square feet in a well-insulated room, as supplemental heat. It will not replace a furnace in a cold climate.
What comes in the box?
The fireplace insert, the white encase surround and mantel, and the mounting hardware. A remote is typically included with Touchstone Fireplug models; confirm with the store before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Electric fireplaces usually drop during fall fireplace promotions and January clearance. With only one store listing it, track the price history rather than expecting a competing-store discount.
Where is the Touchstone Fireplug Pro 33 Inch Smart Electric Fireplace with White Encase Surround Mantel cheapest?
At Touchstone Home Products, for $1,799.00, as of our latest check.
