- When does Frontline go on sale?
- Frontline discounts cluster around spring and early summer, when flea and tick season starts, and again during Black Friday and holiday promotions. Multi-pack sizes (3, 6 or 12 doses) usually carry the lowest per-dose price. Check this page for live deals as they are added.
- Where is Frontline cheapest?
- Large online pet retailers and warehouse clubs typically undercut vet clinics on multi-packs, and per-dose cost drops as pack size rises. Compare the price per dose, not the pack price, since a 6-pack at one store can beat a 3-pack at another. Prices here are shown with the store and date.
- What is the difference between Frontline Plus and Frontline Shield?
- Frontline Plus uses fipronil plus (S)-methoprene to kill fleas, flea eggs and larvae, and ticks. Frontline Shield adds permethrin for repellent action against mosquitoes and flies, but permethrin is toxic to cats, so Shield is for dogs only and must not be used on or near cats.
- How often do you apply Frontline?
- Frontline Plus and Shield are applied monthly to the skin between the shoulder blades. Bathing or swimming within 24 to 48 hours of application can reduce effectiveness, so time it around water exposure. Follow the label for your dog's weight range.
- What is Frontline's return policy?
- Returns depend on the retailer you buy from, not on Frontline itself. Unopened product is generally returnable under a store's standard policy, while opened pesticides often are not. Check the specific store's terms before ordering.
