Is the Nord Stage 3 HP76 worth $4,899?

If you need piano, organ and synth engines in one gigging board with seamless program changes, the price is in line with other flagship stage keyboards. If you mainly play piano, a dedicated stage piano costs far less.

How does the HP76 differ from the 88-key Stage 3?

The HP76 has 76 keys with a lighter hammer-action keybed and a key range of E to E. The 88-key version uses a fully weighted action and adds the extra octave, but weighs more.

Is the keybed weighted?

Yes. It uses a weighted hammer action, but it is lighter and faster than the fully weighted action on the 88-key model. Some pianists find it a compromise for classical playing.

What is included in the box?

The box includes the user manual, sustain pedal, power cord and USB cord. A stand, case and expression pedal are not included.

Can I load my own samples?

Yes. The synth engine plays back samples from the Nord Sample Library 3.0, and there is 480MB of sample memory. The piano section has over 2GB for Nord piano sounds.

When is the best time to buy?

Only one store listed a new unit at $4,899 as of November 4, 2026, so there is little price competition. Watch for holiday sales and bundle deals, and consider used listings if you want to save.

Our take on the Nord Stage 3 HP76

The Nord Stage 3 HP76 is a 76-key performance keyboard with three sound engines: a 2GB piano section with 120-voice polyphony, the Nord C2D organ engine, and the Nord Lead A1 synth engine with sample playback. Its hammer-action keybed is lighter than the fully weighted 88-key version, which makes it easier to carry while keeping a piano-like feel. It is a stage instrument built for gigging players who need pianos, organs and synths in one board. The best new price is $4,899 at 4th Ave Electronics as of November 4, 2026, the only new listing found, so there is no lower price to compare against right now.
